Spectrum Navigator ("Spectrum Navigator," "we," "us," or "our") is an online platform designed to help families find autism, developmental, behavioral, educational, and related service providers and resources.
This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how we use it, when we may share it, and the choices available to users of Spectrum Navigator.
Depending on how you use Spectrum Navigator, we may collect the following categories of information.
This may include your name, email address, account role, encrypted password credentials, verification status, and account security information.
Families may provide contact information, appointment-request information, preferred contact methods, messages, reviews, favorites, and other information they voluntarily submit through the Service.
Providers may provide business or organization names, addresses, service locations, telephone numbers, email addresses, websites, service information, insurance information, availability, business hours, photographs, logos, and other listing information.
Organization accounts may include information about owners, administrators, editors, viewers, location managers, invitations, assigned locations, and organization activity.
We process messages, appointment requests, provider responses, notifications, and related information necessary to operate these features.
Provider subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Spectrum Navigator may receive and store billing-related identifiers and subscription information, such as Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, plan information, billing intervals, subscription status, renewal information, and cancellation status.
Spectrum Navigator does not intend to store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes. Payment information entered during Stripe Checkout is handled by Stripe.
We may process provider addresses, latitude and longitude coordinates, ZIP codes, cities, and, when a user chooses to provide it, browser geolocation for distance-based searches.
We may collect information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, such as provider profile views, recent activity, security events, rate-limiting information, browser or device information, and application logs.
We may use information to operate and maintain Spectrum Navigator; create, authenticate, and secure accounts; display provider listings; enable provider search; process appointment requests and messages; send account and service notifications; administer provider organizations and permissions; process subscriptions; prevent abuse or fraud; respond to support requests; investigate problems; enforce our terms; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service.
Provider profiles are intended to contain information that may be displayed publicly once a listing is active or approved. Public information may include the provider or organization name, location, services, insurance information, business hours, contact information, website, images, reviews, and other listing information.
Providers should not place private, confidential, or unnecessary personal information in fields intended for public display.
Spectrum Navigator is not intended to serve as an electronic medical record, clinical record system, or repository for medical documentation.
Users should avoid submitting medical records, detailed clinical notes, diagnoses, treatment plans, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive information through ordinary appointment requests or messages unless specifically requested through a feature designed and authorized for that purpose.
Spectrum Navigator is not represented as a HIPAA-covered service merely because healthcare or developmental-service providers may use the platform. If our services or relationships later require additional healthcare privacy obligations, we may adopt additional agreements, safeguards, or policies.
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
We may disclose information as reasonably necessary to companies that help us operate Spectrum Navigator. These may include hosting and infrastructure providers, database and storage providers, payment processors, email-delivery providers, mapping providers, security providers, and other technology vendors.
Current services used by Spectrum Navigator may include Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, Resend, and Google Maps or Google Places services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, court order, or governmental request; when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our terms; to protect the rights or safety of users or others; or in connection with a future merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the Service.
When families communicate with providers through Spectrum Navigator, information contained in those communications is necessarily made available to the intended recipient and, where applicable, authorized members of the provider organization who have access to the relevant location or function.
Users should use appropriate judgment about what information they share.
Spectrum Navigator may use cookies, session identifiers, and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, account security, remembering user state, and operating application features.
If we later introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, this Policy may be updated and additional notices or consent tools may be provided where appropriate.
We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and protect Spectrum Navigator and its users.
Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and the reason it is being retained.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or loss.
No internet service, database, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords and account credentials.
Spectrum Navigator is designed for parents, guardians, caregivers, adult family members, providers, and other authorized adults. Children under 13 should not create their own Spectrum Navigator accounts or independently submit personal information through the Service.
A parent or guardian may use Spectrum Navigator to locate services for a child and may provide information reasonably necessary to communicate with providers.
If you believe a child has independently provided personal information through an account without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the matter.
Depending on the feature, users may review or update account information, modify provider listing information, manage communication preferences, cancel provider subscriptions through available billing tools, or request assistance regarding their account.
You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information. Certain information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, or recordkeeping purposes.
Spectrum Navigator may contain links to provider websites or use third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Spectrum Navigator is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites or services.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves or as legal or operational requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page will indicate the latest revision.
Material changes may also be communicated through the Service or by email when appropriate.
